Tanzania Ports Authority(TPA) yesterday started off-loading some containers and ballasting a cargo vessel which ran agroung at magogo on the Kigmboni Creek in Dar es salaam on Tuesday evening to give it the necessary floating stability.
Officials from the Ministry of infrastructure Development at the scene on Tuesday said that the liner-MSC Federica Panama IM07347512 was being escorted out of the port by Tanzanian captains, as it is the procedure when it ran aground.
The Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Mr. Omari Chambo, told reporters at the scene of the accident yesteraday that the option comes after failure to rescue the vessel on Tuesday evening. TPA's Director General, mr.
